Perhaps we should just smile and sit this one out. Although the Eckel
article has points which most Ruby users would consider unfair, is
there really much to be gained by trying to refute them?

Maybe it's just my English nature coming out (or maybe it's because
I'm a boring old fart), but I really do value the maturity and quiet
confidence of this list.
