That's not slow at all, for an old 486 with 8MB of memory... ;]

I mean, mentioning seconds without mentioning the iron and
other running processes is pretty useless.

What about clock cycles?

 $ clockcycles pascaltriangle 666 > /dev/null
 1.77024e+10 clock cycles

At least, it's more fun...
