I'm new to this list (and to the Ruby language), but I've already found it exceptionally well-doing. I think newbie questions are perfectly OK if presented in a courteous and honest manner (after a little bit of homework :), aren't they? Perhaps, when the Ruby community becomes the size of C++'s, we will need comp.lang.ruby.moderated (as they needed c.l.c++.moderated). Until then, let's enjoy this list. (By the way, newbie questions are still OK for c.l.c++.moderated as long as they are related to C++. If the question is already answered in the FAQ, the moderator will refer the poster to it, rejecting the article.) Cheers, Ryo
