FXRuby (http://fxruby.sourceforge.net) works pretty well What is the status of WxWindows by the way? It recently caugth my attention but I have never tried it out. It looks like a major project to install and distribute, but easy to use. Fox and WxWindows seems to be the two best general purpose cross platform GUI toolkits available. WxWindows runs on top of GTK (and thereby has massive support) as well as on Motif and Windows. It targets each platform natively, whereas Fox via its more lowlevel approach makes it easier to create new widgets. In my experience, serious GUI development almost always benefits from modifying existing widgets in order to somehow suit a particular task. Mikkel
