From: David Alan Black Date: 2001-08-15T09:02:34+09:00 Subject: [ruby-talk:19743] [ANN] Ruby Behaviors, v. 0.0.1 (alpha) Hello -- I have prepared the first public release of Ruby Behaviors. This release, v. 0.0.1, is alpha and experimental in nature, and fairly rudimentary in what it does. Troubleshooting reports and comments are very welcome. Ruby Behaviors is a package designed to let you easily introduce locally-scoped changes to core Ruby functionality. A very quick example: require 'your_local_behavior_specs' b = Behavior.new(:BunchOfDefinitions) b.adopt do # code where your changes are in effect end # back to normal # or b.adopt # code where your changes are in effect b.desist # back to normal You can get the package at . Please let me know what you think. (I can't so much as check the server logs at this site, so I really need to hear from people :-) The documentation includes musings on where the project should go from here; further ideas are welcome.
