[ruby-talk:19504] ruby-python, vpython or 3D in Ruby

I'm a recent convert to ruby and python... I'd really like to focus on
Ruby exclusively, but one of my projects requires 3D support (on
win32). Python has a great module - VPython - which makes 3D (to the
extent i require) really simple, and i'd really like to use it (or any
equivalent for Ruby) in my project. so here's the problem

VPython is, obviously, only for python (python 2 upwards)
there is a ruby-python module which can interface ruby and python
however it only works for python 1.5

so :

a) does anyone know if ruby-python is still being developed, or is it
a lost cause?

or

b) does anyone know of any 3D package for Ruby which is easy to use
(and preferably available for the win32 platform)
