Some mail clients do not set the In-Reply-To- and References-Header
correctly so the mail gateway cannot connect them to the right
threads.

This problem is on the mailinglist too, and the '[ruby-talk:#####]'
that gets inserted into the subject by the mailinglist software makes
it worse: The mail clients cannot reconnect the threads by the
subject. I wanted to write a filter that cleans the subject for some
time, but was always too lazy. Advanced mail readers such as GNUS
probably can be taught how to reconnect the threads without messing
with the subject.
