From: Jim Menard Date: 2001-08-06T22:40:13+09:00 Subject: [ruby-talk:19213] [ANN] NQXML v1.1.0 NQXML is a pure-Ruby XML parser. As always, NQXML can be found at http://www.io.com/~jimm/downloads/nqxml/ as well as in the RAA at http://www.ruby-lang.org/en/raa.html. Changes in version 1.1.0: * The new NQXML::Dispatcher class by David Alan Black implements a context-sensitive callback mechanism. Extremely useful and usable. * The XML version tag isn't a processing instruction, so the new NQXML::XMLDecl has been introduced. The class NQXML::ProcessingInstruction is no longer a subclass of NQXML::NamedAttributes because a processing instruction is defined to contain a string of characters, not named attributes. Because of this, all of the parsers now return an NQXML::XMLDecl entity when they see the tag. * NQXML::Writer has a new boolean attribute called prettify that you can modify. When true, it tells the writer to add newlines after tags. See the example code below and in the examples directory. * On input, all line endings (specifically, and ) are translated to a single . This used to work only if the input data used the native line ending format (that is, if the input data's line endings were the same as Ruby's $/ variable). Added new tests to make sure this works. * Removed alias :peekMatches from the tokenizer because it is not used anywhere in the code. Removed alias :peekChars and removed argument to peekChar because neither is used in the code anywhere.
