Same here.

I've tried to follow the gems debate, and I think I understand most of 
the concerns, and way some prefer to use platform-specific package 
manager, and some feel the need to create a different, pure-Ruby package 
manager.

But after all is said and done, RubyGems is a big win for me, and has 
greatly simplified my Ruby life.

Ruby is all about choice.
