Thankfully, Ruby's installer doesn't have GTK+. iconv.dll is used forlocalization support; zlib1.dll is used for compression support.
  c:\ruby\bin\iconv.dll  c:\ruby\bin\zlib1.dll
The GTK+/GIMP installers are too aggressive on this matter, assumingthat one and only one copy of iconv.dll and zlib1.dll will beinstalled on a system.
There are ways around it, though.
