Dear all,
 
for an external software - undocumented as it is, of course, I need to  
provide
some text in Russian in a .txt file. Unfortunately, as I use a  German 
Windows/
Linux computer, I haven't found a way of telling my system that I want  it
to encode text as Cyrillic - choosing a Windows 1251  encoding and
saving in Word as Encoded text always saves the document as Unicode,  which
the external software does not understand.
Can you help me ?
