From: Leonard Richardson Date: 2006-03-03T23:13:38+09:00 Subject: Seeking tech reviewers for the O'Reilly Ruby Cookbook With a huge amount of help from the Ruby community at large, Lucas Carlson and I have nearly completed the first draft of the Ruby Cookbook. To revise the draft, we need even more help, in the form of feedback: people to read the recipes, spot our mistakes and failures to communicate, and let us know about good references for the concepts described. We've already got good feedback from people who bought electronic copies of the book through Rough Cuts, from people who'd previously emailed Lucas and me asking to be reviewers, and from contributors who wanted to help out after they'd finished their recipes. I'd like to get a few more reviewers into the book's CMS/wiki: poking around, trying out the recipe code, sending us feedback and suggested edits. We've got a month to do revisions, from March 15 to April 15. We want to make best use of that time by starting from a huge body of feedback. If you're interested, send me mail and let me know which email address (if any) you use for your oreilly.com account, so we can set you up on the wiki. We'll send each reviewer a free copy of the book and thank them in the Acknowledgements. Also feel free to mail me if you have any other questions about the book.
