ruby has the cleaner syntax, but i don't think it has less typing you
mean at the keyboard :)

i find the typing to be about even.

somewhere around '87 they had fully evolved to the point of no line
numbers or gotos.  something like libertybasic is great for
beginners... although it' s not object oriented.
