I'm a bit to busy and not good enougth to answer definitly questions to
Ruby. But I guess this might be a good place to show Rubys advantages.

There is a thread in comp.lang.lisp about this and Peter Norvig asekd
for hints in it. 

FYI Peter Norvig is Common Lisp guru who have written "Paradigms of
Artificial Intelligence Programming (Case Studies in Common Lisp)" The
discussion seems to suggest that he'll update that book. So it might be
a good place to make Ruby a bit more known
