Subject: [ruby-talk:17925] Movement in scripting language communities to integrate XML-RPC

Greetings,

There have been recent movements in various scripting language
communities to include XML-RPC and SOAP libraries in the standard
distributions of said languages.

Dave Winer's Scripting News mentioned this again on Friday:

Anyway, seeing as Michael Neumann has the Ruby XML-RPC library, and
NaHi has SOAP4R, has Matz and the Ruby community considered the
possibility of web service enabling Ruby "out of the box" by including
these libraries in the standard distribution?
