Subject: [ruby-talk:17396] Problem with Ruby/Gtk and GC

 Hi all.

 More info about my problem with Ruby/Gtk (is anybody using it?).

 Question is GC. When I disable it, can open and close edition windows in my
 application without getting errors. If i enable again and continue to open
 and close windows... flash!

 Segment violation from Gnome.

 This seems a bug (a misunderstanding of Ruby/Gtk and GC) and in an ideal
 world I'd search for a patch that fixes it. But until then... can you
 explain me if there is a method of disabling GC and enabling only
 ocasionally avoiding my application getting all memory and crashing
 computer?
