Hi, I am progressing with a "media box" project - and its time to start with the "friendly" user interface. My output is to X, resolution 720x576 to a TV display (some of that is lost through TV overscan. As you know, TV display has poor quality, and single pixel lines, small fonts have to be avoided if you don't want to bad flickering of the display. I'd like to have access to GTK or QT widgets, but be able to make them nice and big 'n bold, to be able to set large fonts both for text, labels and within widgets. And I'd like the library to be nicely useable from Ruby. Consistent keyboard shortcuts will be helpful, and will also make it easier to integrate remote control with LIRC. Main displays will be tree-list type stuff, some dialogue boxes for setting recording timers, maybe some grid-type control for schedules. I'd be please for any advice or suggestions! Thanks, Steve Davies
