I vote for it (rather /*...*/ or /#...#/ - first is better imho) I rarely write large comments but whenever there is a need to, prefixing each line with a # symbol isn't that good ... And =begin/=end as previous poster stated just make code look uglier (especially if there is a lot of indenting going on). OTOH this may break existing syntax hilighting scheme - and I can't live without it anymore ;)).
