Though the question is always, what do we give up in order to make some people more comfortable; sometimes it's considerable, but in this case I don't think so. Since what /*...*/ gives is a way to mark a comment block by its ends instead of continuously, it kind of duplicates =begin...=end, but I think the latter is being discouraged for non-RD use (right?) so /*...*/ is okay with me. Crazy thought: how would /#...#/ be instead? Mark
