It seems to (as of a few days ago at least):

   [rosco@jukebox ruby]$ ruby oneninetest.rb
   new Foo with abstract fu and abstract stuff
   ConcreteFoo: new Foo with concrete fu and concrete stuff

   [rosco@jukebox ruby]$ ruby9 oneninetest.rb
   new Foo with abstract fu and abstract stuff
   ConcreteFoo: new Foo with concrete fu and concrete stuff
