Dear Mike,

now, ... SPSS is commercial software...
I was wondering what you think of R, or GNU S,

_http://www.r-project.org/_ (http://www.r-project.org/) .

In three minutes of googling, (and no further
experimentation or in-depth reading)
I found a project called Quantian

_http://dirk.eddelbuettel.com/quantian.html_
(http://dirk.eddelbuettel.com/quantian.html)

which is based on R and which promises to have Ruby
support and plotting via gnuplot.
Maybe a quick solution to your suggestion could
be to add some kind of web support via
Ruby on Rails to that project ?

Best regards,

Axel
