I setup an rWiki just to get the feel of how it all fits together (btw: rWiki is a fantastic example on how to do heaps of things, dRuby, RD, CGI, etc..) But then I tried to find out what kind of information I knew at run time from a cgi request. I can find the cookies, the environment (all the Apache information about the request) the parameters parsed to the request... BUT.. not the actual url requested. For instance, http://testserver/test.rbx/moreInformation?a=b What I really want to be able to know is the fact that the user requested moreInformation after entering the script. I might be heading in the wrong direction here, but I've done this kind of thing before in other languages. Perhaps it would be better if I just used parameters, but I personally like the idea of being able to hide the fact that the user has even entered a cgi program (ie: removing the .rbx from test and giving it a name like 'documents') I looked through a lot of the code and I think that this information might be lost in the C code of mod_ruby.. but I'm not even sure if Apache will give this to any one in the first place? Does any one have any ideas? Michael Lucas-Smith
