A syntax that does not appear to come from a foreign planet. ;-)

Seriously, though... Smalltalk is farily bizarre, but it is true that
Ruby has "borrowed" a lot from Smalltalk but then wrapped it up in a
Python/Perl -like syntax. With Ruby you get the best of both worlds.
