I don't know about rubyxx, but we use excruby here in our production
trading systems with Ruby 1.8.2.  Any bugs we find are committed back
into the cvs repo on sourceforge.  Excruby doesn't have as many hooks
for builtin functions as rubyxx, but IMO supports a more idiomatic C++
style of coding (for example, iteration over an Excruby::Ruby_Array is
done using the usual C++ iterators, while rubyxx uses ruby-style #each).

If you need support for additional builtin classes or methods, they
should be fairly easy to add.  I'll gladly accept patches if they are
reasonable.
