Subject: [ruby-talk:16219] Reading version information from a win32 file


Greetings all,

Does Ruby have any way to pull out the version information of a file in
win32?  I would like to be able to extract the version (what Windows
2000 refers to as the Module Version) from a file.  I believe there is
an API call for it, but I was wondering if it was built in to the
language in any way, or if there was a better way than going through the
API.
