Press F5 ... *nothing* happens ... it's disabled ... you have to save the file and it has to know what file type it is otherwise it'd be just as appropriate to do a C++ compile on it? You're describing what you think it does - not what it /does/ (?) SciTE is nice as a substitute for Notepad. I have RDE running all the time -- don't need to wait for it to load :) daz
