Th= e few Red Hat boxen we have running have yet to experience stability problems= . I should have stated more precisely that Ruby *on windows* has stability issues. And those are only with Rails-based web apps. Background processes that don't use any of the Rails framework (essentially, no ActiveRecord -- we're doing explicit SQL) hum along just fine. My fault.
