If you install ruby using the windows installer it should already be=20
installed.

ex:

require 'win32ole'
excel =3D WIN32OLE.new('Excel.Application')
excel.visible =3D TRUE
workbook =3D excel.Workbooks.Add();
worksheet =3D workbook.Worksheets(1);
worksheet.Range('A1:D1').value =3D ['North','South','East','West'];
