I think I'm finally starting to get the arrow idea:

[...]          anonymous array
{...}          anonymous hash
-> (...) {...} anonymous function

I guess I see the correlation there.

Still, it just looks like ugly punctuation to me.  Heck, when I want  
an empty Array or Hash, I was Array.new/Hash.new instead of []/{}.

I would like to think we can think up something better, but maybe I'm  
just being too resistant to change...
