Then I guess it was removed.

   $ ruby1.9 -ve 'p({||})'
   ruby 1.9.0 (2005-06-23) [i486-linux]
   #<Proc:0x00000000@-e:1>

Maybe to make way for the `->(..){..}' syntax.
