Subject: REGEXP: Creating character classes

Hello,
I'm unable to find a way to create character classes. How might one
create the following classes:

[[:consonants]]
[[:vowels]

There are other classes that will be useful in my project (nasals,
dentals, etc.), but I should be able to create them once I get to know
how to create one.
