How do you determine the first time posters? 1. Normally all these who have never posted in the newsgroup in question are considered new posters. 2. If a poster does not post anything within a set period (say 8 weeks) of time, he/she is considered to have left the newsgroup; on his return he/she will also be considered a new poster. For any further details you can have a look at source code available at http://rubyforge.org/projects/newsstats Hope that helps, Regards, -- Dr Balwinder Singh Dheeman Registered Linux User: #229709 CLLO (Chief Linux Learning Officer) Machines: #168573, 170593, 259192 Anu's Linux@HOME Distros: Ubuntu, Fedora, Knoppix More: http://anu.homelinux.net/~bsd/ Visit: http://counter.li.org/
