Now the code is:

hostent* hp;
TCHAR result[MAX_COMPUTERNAME_LENGTH�+1];

hp = gethostbyname("localhost");
if(hp!=NULL)
{
     result=(TCHAR*)hp->h_name;
}

I am still getting the same output. hp=NULL.
