well - sorta ;-)

i only meant to say that the behaviour is consistent and, although there is=
 no
regular ruby idiom that makes use of it now, there may well be in the futur=
e.
if it were inconsistent, but could have a potential use, i'd say take 'em
   away.  my worry is that taking them away now would, in fact, be inconsis=
tent
   and that's what reminded me of perl - which is ripe with inconsistencies=
 -
   am i making more sense?
