I just released Ri18n-0.0.3

Whats ri18n ?
=============

Well, it's a library to help internationalization of Ruby applications.
Goals are similar to Ruby-GetText-Package, but implementation, dependencies
and features are different. Read on.

Features: 
=========

* 100% ruby code
* Does not use, nor depend on GNU gettext
* Takes inspiration from GNU gettext, works similar
* Translation catalogs are PO files (plain text files, editable with your
favorite editor)
* Automatic plural forms support
* 'Out of the box' support for ERB files
* Uses a 'one catalog per language per application' approach, 'textdomains'
or similar are not yet implemented. There is also no 'bindtextdomain'
function. The translation catalog gets loaded only once when you set the
desired language.


Dependencies:
============

During developpement:
* Rake, for creating and updating PO files

For running your internationalized application
* A working Iconv module if you need charset encoding conversions
* none if you go the utf-8 only way (recommended, no encoding conversion
needed)

Download/install:
=================

* Gem package: 
  gem install ri18n

* tar or zip archive
  Download them from here

  or here
      http://developer.berlios.de/project/showfiles.php?group_id=3554
  INSTALL: unpack the archive and do 
       ($ su)
       # ruby setup.rb
