From: flaig@... Date: 2005-04-20T20:30:20+09:00 Subject: Re: Facets 0.6.3 AFAIK, all kinds of brackets, i.e. (),[] and {} are fine on unixish file systems, as are "+", "-", ",", "." and ";" . Don't use the colon, I think OS-X dislikes it (for compatibility reasons with MacOS-9 and below, where it was the folder separator). The problem with ? and * is that they can be used as wildcards and were so extensively before the advent of GUIs (when I was young). Thus, you cannot tell "h*s" from "his" or even "hopeless". In other words, when you delete "h*s.txt", a file "hopeless.txt" will be deleted too. And different shells react differently to quotation marks! === Chevalier Dr. Dr. Ruediger Marcus Flaig Institute for Immunology University of Heidelberg Im Neuenheimer Feld 305, D-69120 Heidelberg, FRG -- Diese E-Mail wurde mit http://www.mail-inspector.de verschickt Mail Inspector ist ein kostenloser Service von http://www.is-fun.net Der Absender dieser E-Mail hatte die IP: 129.206.124.135
