The remote installer will download dependencies, the local installer does not. This is the next big item fix on my todo list for RubyGems: the merging of the two installers into a single installer that can fetch locally or remotely (from more than one remote source ... another limitation of the current remote installer). -- -- Jim Weirich jim@weirichhouse.org http://onestepback.org ----------------------------------------------------------------- "Beware of bugs in the above code; I have only proved it correct, not tried it." -- Donald Knuth (in a memo to Peter van Emde Boas) ------------------------------------------------------- -- -- Jim Weirich jim@weirichhouse.org http://onestepback.org ----------------------------------------------------------------- "Beware of bugs in the above code; I have only proved it correct, not tried it." -- Donald Knuth (in a memo to Peter van Emde Boas)
