I thought about it as well, but the idea has problems. One problem is 
that it really kills chaining which takes place before the block. Consider:

obj.sort{rand 2}

which could be interpreted as both

(obj.sort){rand 2}

and

obj.(sort{rand 2} )

(only illustrates the different parses, not actual code)
