I said I was *preparing* my happy dance of joy.  I haven't started doing 
the dance yet.  I just want to be ready.  Sure, spontaneous dances of 
joy are good, but a well-rehearsed one has its merits too.  ;)

I'm not sure I have time to help with this, but is it possible to get a 
kind of "where we are now" summary?  Are RPA and RubyGems both being 
actively developed and maintained right now?  Are there still features 
being added to both projects?  Are the two teams still actively working 
togeth and sharing code?

I'm just trying to get a feel of how big a job it would be, and what 
would be required to do this unification.
