Subject: [ruby-talk:13176] upgrading process

I installed the tar file v 1.6.2 to linux, and
now want to upgrade to v 1.6.3.

Do I need to remove 1.6.2 first?  
If so, how?  
Is a files-installed list generated?
Is there a make uninstall?


If I install 1.6.3 over 1.6.2, 
will I have dregs/clutter left over from 1.6.2?
