One thing I find even more important are published papers
(conferences, workshops, journals) that I can reference to when
wanting to say "This is Ruby" in an academic paper. So far the best
shot I found were the OOPSLA presentations, but they only go so far.
I think it would be neat to see academic development in Ruby just like
we are seeing for Java/Sable.
