But instead of the TextView, I use the GtkSourceView. It comes with a lot of syntax highlighting, so that's kinda nice. I think that I'll make a webpage for it soon, so that people can download it, to take a look. I don't have much time at the moment, so my editor will probably be finished in 2014 or something. The weird thing is that I also wanted to created a TextMate-like editor (but for linux). It's features will include, the dynamic file outline, syntax highlighting, tabs, and the code completion stuff, for at least some languages. Of these, only tabs and syntax highlighting work.
