Subject: [ruby-talk:12643] Stepping off, be back later

Hello all,

I had expected to be able to start Ruby programming with a lot of energy a
month or so ago when I first subscribed.

Unfortunately my job situation has gotten really weird (this is wall street) w/
management having me jump thru endless needless hoops.

Before I can get to ruby programming I have to finish off my DepthDB perl OO
data server project for release thru sourceforge.

None-the-less, I am promoting ruby to fellow perl programmers and I will
continue advocating cross pollenating perl and ruby esp wrt to VMs and QA and
other critical stuff. I would also like to initate ruby study groups here in
NY/NJ. Similar linux groups are wildly successful (TheLinuxSociety.org for
one)

Cheers, John
