Subject: [ruby-talk:12642] How to access Ruby file pointers from C code?

For my Ruby extension module (written in C/C++) I need to be able to get to
the FILE* pointer(s) embedded in a Ruby file object. Is there a preferred
way to do this (e.g. part of the public API) or am I going to have to
include "rubyio.h" and so forth?
