In the XML world we call your kind of parsing "Pull parsing". It's pretty
widely accepted as a cool way to work.

Of course the other point would be that we should start working now on an
actual SAX API too, and make sure that Ruby SAX implementations are
interoperable. As I said before - please don't follow the Java bindings -
they are so, umm, Java. Ruby can do it so much nicer using property sets.
