Subject: [ruby-talk:12054] Problems with rubywin.exe (ruby162-3 release)

I've just installed the ruby162-3.exe for Windows on a Windows 98 SE syatem,
and when I try to run rubywin I get the following error message: "Failed
assertion !(pos2 > len2) at line 126 of the
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/686-pc-cygwin/2.95.2-6/../../../../include/g++-3/std/bastri
ng.cc".

I previously had 1.6.1 installed (with no problems), but got rid of it
(using Add/Remove programs) before running ruby162-3.exe. Ruby.exe and
rubyw.exe both work OK, but eruby.exe also fails with a weird error
(segmentation fault).

Any help would be appreciated.
