Subject: [ruby-talk:11979] DBI for Ruby?

Hello,
currently I am playing with Ruby and Mysql and it really is cool

but one question:
Is there a unified database inteface for Ruby, like DBI for Perl.
I could not find any.

I think, this would be very important. When using Perl and I
want to switch e.g. from Mysql for Postgresql, it is a matter
of seconds (provided, the SQL im compatible)

Maybe this is already in development, and I just wasn't able
to find it.
