My personal experience is that Python indenting is a real pain.  To an extent 
this is because my preference is to use tabs set to 4 spaces, and many 
editors have trouble with the concept, so the spacing keeps getting confused. 
 If there are linguistic markers, then recovering from this is trivial.  If 
there aren't, it takes debugging to an entirely new level.  Then there's the 
Python IDE that displays everything properly, but doesn't print tabs at the 
beginning of a line.  That makes figuring out the code a real joy, even when 
the code is still executing properly (though, of course, the most frequent 
time when one needs to do this is during debugging).

And if the parser decides that your code doesn't mean what you think it means 
(I'm still learning Python) there isn't always any obvious sign, though some 
IDEs have style guides, which tell you how far in they think the current 
level of indentation should be.  But these tend to disagree with the 
intuitive sense following, e.g., lines of comment (which I prefer to indent 
to the level of the code to which they apply, and which usually follow them).
