I personally find it extremely valuable.

OCaml has a somewhat unfamiliar syntax at the first look.
The first two days with OCaml were really hard and I cursed
a lot. Nowadays I find its syntax very natural.

The only problem is the limited number of extensions,
but for most tasks there is one.
