Subject: Re: [OT] US Presidential Election

I've lived in NYC for the past 3.5 years. Last week I brought one way
tickets out of North America. Yesterday (Nov 2), I handed in my notice
at work. I'm busing out across the Canad'an b0rder so the reg'me
doesn't get my f'nger pr'nts.

I'm not going to pay taxes to the USA's corrupt, violent government anymore.

All six billion of us are in a complex web of interactions. The attack
on the USA in 2001 was in response to USA's interactions with the
world up until then. From my perspective both sides seem to make
equivalent justifications for killing people, can't say I agree with
any of them.

When oil prices exponentially increase in our lifetimes, we'll realize
that USA's invasion of the country sitting on top of the planet's
second largest oil reserve was an decision based on power, wealth and
survival considerations.

We have a chance now to develop alternative energy generation
technology and learn how to make sustainable use of earth's resources.
If we don't I think we'll enter a new dark ages in my lifetime. No
more ruby programming then :(
